As Marine Surveyors both Captains, Mike and Pete Hosemann, are certified Ultrasonic testing technicians. 

We performed a ultrasonic survey of the Star this past year and thought a few people might find the report interesting.  Typically such a report would have less than half as many soundings but since we have a vested interest in the boat and wanted to have a better knowledge of its condition we took over one thousand soundings of the hull and structural members. We did find a few spots that needed attention and those were repaired at James Marine in Paducah, KY.
