This picture of the Star in 91' was taken in Chattanooga, TN on the Tennessee River.

The Star, an authentic side paddle wheeler, is 65' long, 24' wide, and is licensed for 145 passengers. The main deck is fully enclosed and climate controlled. The upper deck is partially covered by a canopy offering light weather protection. The boat is equipped with two restrooms, and is handicap accessible with assistance.

The Star is the flagship of the RiverTrek program.

While the paddle wheels are real, the Star is diesel driven.  There are two Ford Lehman 4 cylinder 90 hp. engines that drive a hydraulic drive system.  We normally operate both engines but the vessel has the ability to operate both wheels independantly from one engine.  The generator is a 20 kw Delco turned by a 2-71 Detroit Diesel.
